Nana vs Ezinne Part 2 – The Cease & Desist Letter

She asked Ezinne to pull down all posts of her on her social media accounts and offer an apology which would be posted in two national dailies within 48 hours.

Popular Ghanaian model and actress, Nana Akua Addo has issued a cease and desist to Nigerian designer, Ezinne Olivia to retract the defamatory posts she allegedly made about her outfit to the just-concluded AMVCA.

Nana stated that she paid the designer in full for doing her part of the job.

Recall that the Ghanaian celebrity went viral over the beautiful outfit she donned to the AMVCA.

However, it became a bone of contention between Ezinne and a Ghanaian designer, Yoli, who was given credit for making the dress.

Ezinne took to her social media page to drag Nana for refusing to give her credit and giving her the option of choosing between getting tagged or getting paid.

Even though she chose the payment, she believes it was an unfair ask and took to her Facebook page to cry over the lack of recognition after seeing the dress go viral.

This has led to many hate comments targeted at Nana for not tagging Ezinne despite her contribution to the making of her outfit.

Although the Ghanaian fashionista has not commented publicly on the matter, she chose to speak via her lawyers who served the designer a cease and desist letter.

The letter reveals that Ezinne was initially tagged in the post but requested that her name be removed because she did not want to share the credit with others.

She asked Ezinne to pull down all posts of her on her social media accounts and offer an apology which would be posted in two national dailies within 48 hours.

Nana’s lawyer stated that if she fails to do so, she would have to pay N50,000,000 for damages.

On Nana and Ezinne. Nana knows giving a shoutout to Ezinne will be a huge flex for her fashion business, being that she has a reputation for wearing fabulous fashionable pieces. She made Ezinne choose one of the two options, payment or shoutout. Ezinne on the other hand, is an upcoming designer. She is yet to develop confidence in her fashion business, else she would have charged her worth and by now she would not be feeling “used”.
Nana knows her worth.
Ezinne does not know her worth, yet, or maybe she made desperation and over ambition cloud her thinking faculty.
No one of them is wrong or right.
Nana is not a bad person either for not giving her a shoutout.
Ezinne is not bad for asking for a shoutout. Indeed, the shoutout would have been nice for her budding business, but hey! It is not easy to grow influence and it takes extra kindness for anyone to call you out for a service you rendered after making payment, even though the payment worth less than the job done. (Na you use your mouth put price for your market).
Ezinne did not lose totally. I am very sure many people will be in her dm now asking her to make their dresses out of a sense of Justice. She should also use this to know her worth and charge accordingly instead of looking Uche face. Many people feel used because they shy away from demanding for what they deserve.
She should also understand that these are expected challenges she will face as a fashion designer. A time will come that celebrities will tag her voluntarily even after they have paid through their nose.
