Katie Williams has been sharing snippets of her apparently awesome trip across America with her boyfriend Georgia Hall.
However, the Big Brother star opened up as much as her Instagram followers on Saturday, and said issues are going down hard in South America.
Unfortunately, 27-year-old Katie became extremely ill after the virus hit the coast of Colombia.
The sprinter shared a carousel of pictures from her journey, as well as a picture of her trick-or-treating on a mattress near a medical heart.
Katie mentioned that she wanted to post pictures to show that the trip doesn’t always go according to plan.

She wrote: “I won’t give you the actual spotlight > I’ll give you a week in real life.
“Most of it was spent indoors in our accommodation with the virus reaching the coast of Colombia. I was extremely sick.
Although Katie said she’s had a really tough week, she’s grateful to her friend Georgia, who put her travel plans on hold to look after her.

The sprinter shared a carousel of photos from her journey, including one of her lying on a bed at a medical center.

Listing other things for which she is grateful, the athlete wrote: “Our little jungle house, listening to the sounds of birds and wild animals, being able to swim, eating locally nutritious food, sleeping with the sound of rain, drinking fresh coconuts from a tree, meeting other tourists from all over the world and above all his now healthy body and its stamina.
“Health really is our only currency.”
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Katie mentioned that she is now recovered and is excited to discover this gorgeous nation.
She added: “I love Colombia, I don’t want people to be afraid to travel if they get sick. I had great medication that quickly got me back on track.
Before heading to South America, the vivacious couple enjoyed a visit to Los Angeles.
Last Tuesday, Katy shared a collection of pictures on her Instagram as she explored West Hollywood with make-up artist Georgia.
In one photo, the pair huddled together on a laptop, sharing a passionate kiss while enjoying themselves by the pool.
Katie additionally shared a candy selfie as they boarded the plane for his or her flight.
In the third picture, Georgia put her arm around Katie as they posed for a mirror selfie during the evening.

Katie debuted her first same-sex relationship with girlfriend Georgia in August 2021.
The current TV star informed Daily Mail Australia at the time that she “couldn’t be more in love if she tried”.
“I couldn’t be more in love if I tried. She is my best friend, my biggest supporter and my partner in crime,” Katie mentioned.
‘We really match each other’s strengths. We’ve had a lot of private ups and downs during the lockdown and we’ve helped each other. We laughed, cried, danced and hugged it all.

Referring to make-up artist Georgia as her first girlfriend, Katie said they had an “emotional connection like no other”.
“She’s actually my first girlfriend. I was dating guys before Georgia! It’s so different; it’s an emotional connection like no other,” she mentioned.
“I’m really proud of how we handled our relationship. Big Brother cheated on me and questioned me about my sexuality and I’m strong in who I am and what I love.
